3-D Printer Rotation
For this project I decided to design the toothbrush holder, as my bathroom is a mess and i probably wouldn't use the phone stand. I designed to to have 2 main 4*4 bases, one having 4 holes, and one main beam attaching them. Down below, you can see my sketches.
Using Tinker CAD
This program took a lot of getting used to, as it is not as interactive as inventor. I was eventually able to somewhat get it figured out, but it didn't turn out quite how I had hoped, as getting certain dimensions was difficult. I made the wholes in the top 1*1's so they would be able to accommodate almost any toothbrush, but they were kind of hard to place evenly. Below are some snips I took while designing the toothbrush holder. I started with a 4*4*5 cube before I began my extrusions. You can see below that I had to make 6 total extrusions, 2 on the sides and 4 for the actual holes where the toothbrushes would go. The bottom right picture shows my final product.
Evaluation Of Project
Overall this project wasn't too bad, however I really struggled finding a program that would work so I hope this is alright. I ended up finding this website called tinker cad and I used it to the best of my abilities. I ended up with a final product that I liked, I wish there was just an easier way to dimension on this program. I guess I liked it overall but it would have been a lot more enjoyable had I been able to use inventor.
